Maumee City Schools First Shift Custodian at Maumee Middle School

POSITION AVAILABLE: Custodian (First-Shift, 12 months per year, 8 hours per day)

INITIAL BUILDING ASSIGNMENT: Maumee Middle School

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Possession of a valid driver's license.Minimum age of 18, with a high school diploma or its equivalent.Ability to perform basic reading and math tasks.Possession of a valid Ohio low-pressure boiler operator's license is desirable.One year of prior institutional custodial experience.Ability to work assigned hours. Dress in uniform.Ability to remain standing for extended periods.Ability to climb stairs.Ability to operate power-driven cleaning equipment as evidenced by demonstrated proficiency.Ability to properly lift a bulk weight of 75 lbs. on a regular basis.Ability to work successfully in a team relationship with the building administrators, teachers, students, community members, school groups, and operational staff.Have a belief in education and a concern for children.Possess a tolerant and pleasant personality under sometimes demanding work situations.Good health, high moral character, and excellent employment attendance history.Professional tact, diplomacy, and presentation with administrators, staff, teachers, students, parents, and the community.

COMPENSATION: Wages and fringe benefits based on the collective bargaining agreement.
