Job DetailsPOSITION SUMMARY:
At Urban Hill, our Restaurant Managers provide the highest quality guest experience through friendly, knowledgeable service. You will partner and assist the General Manager (GM) with all aspects of restaurant operations, including food, beverage, and guest service activities. You will also support, as needed, all other positions in our elevated dining restaurant as a team player and to thrill guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Present professionalism at all times in manner and appearance
- Assist GM with management and execution of all personnel matters, including hiring, training, and feedback
- Recruit, interview, and train new associates
- Collaborate with GM to develop training plans and new-hire packets
- Ensure all new associates complete new-hire training before their first solo shift
- Collaborate with GM to develop and facilitate opportunities for continuous improvement for all associates through education and training
- Learn and develop overall knowledge of the hospitality industry, branding, marketing, employment, and business practices
- Assist with the coordination of inspections, maintenance, and organization of the restaurant
- Assist with business planning and support financial goals and strategies in day-to-day management concerning budgeting
- Collaborate with GM to ensure accountability of service standards daily
- Assure compliance with the health department, UDABC, and any other licensing regulations
- Assist in managing inventory and purchasing small wares
- Collaborate with the leadership team for budgeting, including but not limited to monthly reviews of P&L
- Assist with vendor relations

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Possess at a minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Minimum 5 years of restaurant experience preferred
- Minimum 3 years of management experience preferred
- Competent with scheduling software, reservation systems, POS systems, and Excel
- Knowledge of relevant health safety regulations and procedures
- Food handlers & beverage service permits required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8 hours)
- Ability to bend, lift, push & carry heavy objects up to 50 lbs
