At Goode Company Restaurants, we believe in serving more than just great food—we serve a legacy of quality and hospitality. We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on General Maintenance Technician to help us keep our restaurants operating smoothly and safely. If you’re the kind of person who takes pride in solving problems and enjoys variety in your work-this might be the job for you.

WHO YOU ARE:
You’re a self-starter with a wide-ranging knowledge of general maintenance and repair. You’re someone our team can count on, and you love the restaurant environment, move with purpose, and bring a professional attitude to every task, big or small.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Respond to day-to-day maintenance requests and prioritize tasks to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Perform a variety of general maintenance duties across multiple restaurant locations—everything from plumbing and electrical troubleshooting to drywall repair and light carpentry.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend the life of equipment and facilities.
  • Assist with kitchen equipment repairs (griddles, fryers, refrigerators, dish machines, etc.); knowledge of refrigeration or HVAC systems is a plus, but not required.
  • Keep maintenance areas and tools organized and in good working order.
  • Communicate effectively with restaurant managers and staff to coordinate repairs and share updates.
  • Use our work order system to track tasks, record completed work, and follow up as needed.
  • Be available for on-call duties on a rotating basis for after-hours or weekend emergencies.
  • Support the Facilities Manager on special projects and seasonal tasks.
  • Always follow company safety standards and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience (restaurant or hospitality industry a plus)
  • Working knowledge of general building systems (basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc.)
  • High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or certifications are a plus
  • Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Own a basic set of tools
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and stay organized
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs. or more
  • Ability to stoop, bend, climb ladders, and navigate tight spaces
  • Comfortable working with hand and power tools, as well as lift equipment

PERKS & BENEFITS:

  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid vacation & sick time
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Disability and critical illness coverage
  • Team member recognition and appreciation
  • Training and development programs
  • Opportunities for advancement
  • Supplemental life insurance options

Goode Company Restaurants is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. If you’ve got the skills, drive, and desire to help us maintain something great—we want to hear from you.
