General Maintenance Engineer

The Wayfarer SLO Tapestry Collection by Hilton is looking for a General Maintenance Engineer to join our team. We are looking to cover shifts either 2-10:30pm or 3-11:30pm. The General Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the corrective, preventative and emergency maintenance needs of the property.

Formerly The Kinney SLO, The Wayfarer San Luis Obispo is a refreshed take on an old favorite. Courageous. Curious. Inspired.

Core functions of the position, but are not limited to the following;
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
• Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
• Basic electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Carpentry and screening.
• Interior and exterior painting.
• Changing locks, installing smoke alarms.
• Pool maintenance.
• Maintain shop and tools in clean, orderly and safe condition.
• Periodically clean gutters, drain water heaters.
• Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
• Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Pay Rate: $17 - $19.00/hr.
