Position Summary

Take orders, prepare, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages courteously and efficiently in accordance with hotel standards. Ensure the banquet bar is properly stocked, organized, and maintained while providing exceptional guest service.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, procedures, and service standards.

  • Demonstrate full understanding of correct equipment use and maintenance; operate equipment only as intended.

  • Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests in a courteous manner, regardless of volume or time of day.

  • Foster positive guest relations, effectively resolve complaints, and ensure guest satisfaction at all times.

  • Stay informed about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions to provide accurate guest information.

  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all assigned work areas.

  • Uphold knowledge of state liquor regulations, particularly those related to service of alcohol to minors, intoxicated persons, and prevention of impaired driving.

  • Operate the P.O.S. and manual systems accurately and efficiently.

  • Obtain and secure assigned bank, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and adherence to hotel policies.

  • Complete all opening, closing, and side duties as assigned.

  • Prepare all beverages according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.

  • Transport and set up bar units with appropriate supplies and equipment for events; break down and return bar equipment to designated areas post-function.

  • Accurately prepare and submit consumption reports in line with established procedures.

  • Present guest checks, process payments, and strictly follow cash and credit handling policies.

  • Maintain the ability to stand and work with consistent mobility for extended periods, up to 8 hours.

  • Have or be able to obtain servsafe and Alcohol training certificates
