Custodian

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a high school diploma or
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Specific vision is a requirement in these job duties, including distance and peripheral vision and depth perception
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to toxic or caustic
• Must be able to organize and prioritize work and to meet
• Must have or obtain First Aid/CPR certification and a Navajo Nation food handler's
• Bilingual (Dine/English)
• Must be able to meet minimum physical
• Must have a valid driver's license with an insurable driving

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complies with and supports all Shiprock Associated Schools, Inc. policies and procedures; includes guidelines related to COVID-19 and any unforeseen pandemic.

• Integrates the organizations' philosophy concepts and mission statement into the work

• Will perform the following job assignments:

• Clean, sweep and mop all classrooms, windows, offices,

• Vacuum and dust all classrooms, offices, kitchens, hallways, lavatories,

• Empty all trash and other garbage containers,

• Sweep and maintain outdoor sidewalks daily for safety conditions,

• Clean snow and debris from the sidewalks,

• Ensure all indoor lighting is maintained, and

• Ensure all bathroom areas are adequately

• Keeps the grounds free from rubbish and empties trash into proper containers daily.

• Makes minor building repairs as assigned and/or

• Reports unsafe conditions and needed repairs by promptly submitting a work order

• Immediately reports to the supervisor any damage to the custodial equipment such as the polisher, vacuum, carpet shampooer as required.

• Immediately reports to the supervisor any damage or theft of school

• Keeps an inventory of supplies and equipment on-hand and notifies the Facilities Manager in a timely

• Conducts self in a professional manner at all times for the safety and welfare of the students.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
