Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Craft Bartender role goes beyond the traditional duties of a bartender by incorporating a deep understanding of the chemistry and creativity behind cocktail creation. This position involves crafting unique beverages that cater to the specific preferences and tastes of patrons, while also exploring new and innovative drink recipes.
Primary Tasks:
You will develop a drink menu for a bar or restaurant, considering the desired atmosphere of the establishment.
Propose operational improvements to eliminate inefficiencies and increase sales in the beverage program.
You will manage quality and consistency of the beverage program, including menus and recipes.
Maintain knowledge of all sprits & pairings, drinks, recipes, and beer items available, the price of each and how drinks are glassed and garnished.
You will ensure inventory to sale process are efficient and complete through management of processes with back of house beverage staff.
Engage with customers, assess needs and provide recommendations to create a high-quality bar experience.
You will notify appropriate management of concerns and observation to ensure responsible gaming and alcohol service.
Confirm age compliance by checking the identification of any individual ordering alcoholic beverages.
You will train associates how to properly prepare and present drinks, as well as how to offer suggestions and up sell as possible to maximize sales.
Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must pass the Level 2 assessment
Must pass a Level 2 audition
ABLE Certification
Good cash handling skills
Impeccable service skills and keen knowledge of craft cocktails.
Must have knowledge of all beverage recipes and of flavor profiles.
Knowledgeable and familiar with all common menu items, drink preparations, ingredients, garnishes, and contemporary beverage offerings
Two (2) years' work experience in a high-volume, full-service bartending position, gaming environment is preferred
