Bussers/Food Runners

Shalhoob's Funk Zone Patio, a family-owned and operated restaurant, is looking for experienced bussers/food runners!

Part-Time or Full-Time positions available

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Food Runner/Busser
Ensure the efficient flow of orders from the kitchen to the customer
Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority
Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation, and temperature
Deliver orders to maintain fast service
Inspect the premises according to quality and sanitation standards and assist in cleaning
Transfer important information between the kitchen and servers (e.g. when a customer has a particular request)
Support other tasks as needed
Removing used plates, glasses, cutlery, and napkins from tables after diners are done eating
Wiping up water spills, food stains, and dirt from tables
Replacing cutlery and glassware in anticipation of new diners
Refilling paper napkins and any other depleted condiments on tables
Refilling water station
Bringing out meal orders if wait staff are busy
Handling the cleaning of the dining area at the close of the day

Skills & Requirements
2+ years of restaurant experience is a must to be considered
Excellent customer service and people skills
In-depth knowledge of food sanitation and safety policies
Strong attention to detail
High energy levels
Ability to work in a team
Excellent verbal communication
Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends must, evenings, and holidays
Responsible and reliable attendance
Bilingual is a plus, but not required
