We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team at our Happy Coffee Club. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and ensuring that every customer has an enjoyable experience. Your role is crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages customers to return.
Duties
* Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages with precision and care.
* Operate the POS systems for efficient order processing and cash handling.
* Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
* Maintain cleanliness in the cafe area, including tables, counters, and equipment, adhering to food safety standards.
* Assist in food preparation and serving items as needed while ensuring compliance with food handling regulations.
* Manage time effectively during peak hours to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
* Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic math calculations for change and sales reporting.
* Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and support each other during busy shifts.
Qualifications
* Previous barista experience or experience in the food service industry is preferred.
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
* Familiarity with Square POS system is a plus.
* Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and food preparation techniques is preferred.
* Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
