DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Event Coordinator to join our team specializing in Hospitality for our Cummins Inc. facility in Columbus, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Deliver Memorable Guest Experiences: Personalize services to meet individual needs, ensuring every interaction reflects warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail.

  • Lead Events from Start to Finish: Plan, coordinate, and execute events-including logistics, setup, service, and teardown-to create seamless, high-quality experiences.

  • Support Operational Excellence: Maintain readiness of Hospitality-managed spaces and oversee inventory and equipment.

  • Foster a Strong Team Culture: Support and collaborate with Hospitality Associates and temporary staff, sharing knowledge, modeling professionalism, and contributing to a positive, high-performing work environment.

  • Ensure Safety and Compliance: Enforce policies and public safety codes to maintain a safe, secure, and compliant environment for guests and staff.

  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback and insights after events to strengthen processes and elevate overall service delivery.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • Minimum two years' experience and/or training in the hospitality or food service industry.

  • Bring events to life - Coordinate and execute events from concept to completion, managing logistics, vendor partnerships, and timelines with precision.

  • Be a go-to expert - Serve as a primary contact for event hosts, vendors, and internal teams, owning the schedule and flow of Hospitality-managed event spaces in Columbus, IN.

  • Lead on-site success - Oversee event setup, execution, and teardown, stepping in to perform front-of-house tasks such as bartending, wine service, dining room management, serving, and meeting room setup when needed.

Essential Skills and Capabilities:

  • Hands-on experience in event coordination, hospitality, catering, or a related field.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with to balance multiple priorities effectively.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant work experience that meets applicable regulations.

Preferred Skills, Education, or Experience

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in event or hospitality management.

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with event management software or scheduling tools.
