Sanitation Worker Job Description Join our team as a Sanitation Worker, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment in a food manufacturing facility. This position requires dedication to cleanliness, safety, and the ability to work with a variety of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting in designated areas. Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in accordance with established procedures. Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. Operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor scrubbers, to maintain cleanliness. Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed. Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards. Assist in the setup and cleanup of special events or projects. Report maintenance issues or hazards to supervisors promptly. Follow established protocols for handling and disposing of hazardous materials. Collaborate with other staff to maintain a cohesive and well-organized workspace. Essential Skills Experience as a Sanitation Worker or in a similar role is advantageous. Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures. Ability to handle cleaning chemicals and follow safety guidelines. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
