The College Association at Delhi, Inc. (CADI) provides many campus services including dining and catering services, Campus Store, vending, Delhi Dollars Accounts and accounting services for Student Associations. CADI is a not-for-profit auxiliary corporation serving the SUNY Delhi community. CADI is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of students, faculty and administrators.

Job Description:
CASHIER
Present yourself in a professional manner and exhibit a service-oriented attitude.
Exhibit a professional appearance, demeanor and hygiene.
Possess a positive attitude and practice positive customer service at all times.
Maintain a good working relationship with all employees.
Set up counter for services and maintain a neat working environment.
Assist in cleaning dining area and serving room when not busy cashing and on counter.
Maintain standards of sanitation, safety and cleanliness at all times.
Receive and account for all cash, meal plan, Bronco Bucks, Delhi Dollars, credit card, and any other transactions.
Verify that customer presenting SUNY ID card is owner of said card prior to processing transaction.
Check all meal cards to verify that customer is entitled to a meal, Bronco Bucks or Delhi Dollars transaction.
Responsible for securing all money. At the beginning of the shift, count and sign out drawer, verifying amount in drawer. Immediately report any inaccuracies to the CADI Office, Unit Manager or Supervisor. At the end of shift, count drawer, accurately fill-out daily transmittal form, leave start-up money in drawer, and prepare drop to be placed in safe.
Keep an adequate supply of grab-n-go food items located at the cashier station, and inform Unit Manager or Supervisor when items need to be replenished from stock.
Will be required to attend a food sanitation course.
May be called upon at times to perform other related tasks not included in this description.
Requirements:
Interact with customers in a pleasant manner, upholding a high level of customer service.
Operate a micros cash register.
Compute correct change due customers.
Work independently with little supervision.
Effectively supervise and/or train others.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
Additional Information:
$17.04/hour
Position in CSEA Local 628
Work 32 weeks per year when SUNY Delhi is in session.
