VCSU Student Worker Equipment and Laundry Attendant

Title: Student Worker - Equipment and Laundry Attendant

Department: Athletics

Reports to: Athletics Equipment Manager

Location: W.E. Osmon Fieldhouse

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the equipment manager and graduate assistant equipment supervisors, perform duties assisting and managing the organization of the equipment room. Assist in equipment needs pre and post practice. Perform laundry needs after practices and competitions. Ensure the security of the assets within the equipment room. Help with distribution of gameday uniforms. Assist in keeping the equipment room clean and organized at all times. Work up to 10-20 hours per week, late afternoon-evening hours.

Maintain confidentiality.

Performs other duties as required or assigned pertinent to the position.

Must know and abide by all University rules and regulations.

Must maintain a positive attitude toward the position.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Be a full-time undergraduate student (basic).

Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised.

TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED

Skill in observing situations.

Ability to work and make decisions with minimal supervision.

Good interpersonal skills and desire to be a team player.

Experience with customer service- common courtesy in working with student athletes and coaches.

Good organization and time management skills.

Physical Demands

Required to move about at times.
