Who are we: Merri-Makers was one of the first design caterers in NJ. Our all-encompassing catering services span the entire spectrum of special occasions including weddings, galas, fundraisers, corporate meetings and charity golf outings. Our team shares a passion for culinary mastery with thoughtful execution. Our 3 locations are the Ashford Estate (Allentown), Bonnet Estate (Manahawkin) and Mallard Estate (Manahawkin). Hours: Arrives with opening bar manager. 1pm or 2pm - after wine service approximately 9pm Barback Job Duties: -Review contract and be familiar with timeline, liquor/beer/wine selections, guest counts, and signature cocktails. -Arrives with bar manager. -Distributes beer/wine/liquor/mixers/glassware/ice to each bar. -Assists bar manager with any opening tasks needing to be completed prior to guest arrival. -Assists bartenders with restocking bars with ice/beers/wine/glassware/mixers -Takes out garbage/recycling if needed during cocktail hour. -During transition to the ballroom from cocktail hour assists in relocating cocktail hour bars to the reception locations. -Cleans out the groom's lounge coolers. -Relocates beers/wines to the main bar. -Assists in restocking bars as needed including beer/wine/liquor/mixers/ice/glassware. -Takes out garbage/recycling throughout reception. -During wine service assists in pouring wine tableside -Does a final restock at all bars. -Reorganize/consolidate open items. -Organize grooms' room open cases. -Takes out garbage/recycling behind all bars. -Clean/tidy the storage area for bars in the basement.
