We are seeking friendly, enthusiastic Barbacks to join our team. Our ideal candidate is organized, can communicate efficiently and effectively with teammates. This candidate is energetic, confident, and has experience working in bar/restaurant settings. They must be able to work methodically in a fast-paced environment, helping bartenders open and close the bar. They keep the bar stocked with liquor, beer, spirits, garnishes, ice cubes and other products needed throughout their shift. They ensure that glasses, stirrers, shakers, strainers and other bartending tools are clean and in the proper position for Bartenders.
Barback responsibilities include:- Complying with all Governmental food & beverage safety regulations.
- Follow standard operating procedures for opening and closing side work.
- Restocking and replenishing the bar inventory and supplies.
- Maintaining a clean work and dining area:
- removing trash
- collecting glassware
- cleaning bar top
- washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
- Refilling ice bins.
- Greeting guests, filling water glasses, occasional beer and wine pours.
- Replacing beer kegs and liquor/wine bottles.
- Perform related duties as requested by leadership teams.
- An appreciation and basic understanding of beer, wines & spirits.
- Ambitious, disciplined, and works with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to move gracefully, and efficiently.
- Professional demeanor & polished appearance.
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to speak English fluently and clearly.
- Willingness to learn.
- Must be a team Player.
- Ability to obtain required governmental Food Safety and Basset Certification.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn our Point of Sales (POS) system.
- Able to move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces.
- Knowledge of a second language is a plus.
- Must be at least 21 years old
Compensation: Hourly ($12.62) plus tips
