Job Details We are an independently owned and operated American Bistro in the heart of downtown Jersey City. For nearly 18 years we have served as a neighborhood gathering place serving excellent and comfortable food and drink. We source many of our ingredients through direct relationships we have with organic vegetable farmers, fish mongers, and beef and pork farmers. We have land in upstate New York on which we are raising our own beef cows, and use table scraps from the restaurant to feed the hogs that become the pork products we serve. We have reduced our waste stream by using conventional food products more sparingly, and by using our food waste as compost and hog feed. Our bar program features macro brands which help keep a portion of guests comfortable, as well as smaller, independent and family owned brands that create a more bespoke experience for guests looking to branch out from the more familiar. We are looking for a bartender who is passionate about mixology, hospitality and farm to table. If you are someone who loves restaurants - making people feel welcome, comfortable and cared for; loves great, fresh, local food; if you have a passion for making drinks, communicating with people, engaging guests, sharing stories of our products and the people making them, and would like to build a career in hospitality, we would like you to join our team.
