For over 56 years, our family-owned Italian restaurant has been a landmark in San Franciscos historic North Beach neighborhood. Known for authentic Italian cuisine, exceptional hospitality, and a vibrant atmosphere, we welcome guests from around the world every day. In addition to our busy main dining rooms, we offer three unique private event spaces: The Wine Cellar, The Prosciutto Room, and The Willie Brown Room, hosting everything from corporate gatherings and rehearsal dinners to birthdays, anniversaries, and special celebrations. With a strong private dining program and a reputation built over decades, we are seeking a talented and energetic full-time Event Planner & Host to help us continue delivering exceptional guest experiences.

The Event Planner will be responsible for driving private event bookings at our venue by identifying and cultivating relationships with local businesses, social groups, and organizations. This person will manage the full event lifecyclefrom client acquisition to event executionensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all parties.

Key Responsibilities:

* Client Acquisition & Outreach
*Proactively identify and reach out to local businesses, community groups, and organizations to pitch the venue for private parties and events
*Build and maintain a database of prospective clients and contacts
*Attend networking events, expos, and local business functions to generate leads

Event Coordination
*Serve as the primary point of contact for all event inquiries and bookings
*Collaborate with clients to understand their event needs, budgets, and expectations
*Coordinate logistics including space layout, food & beverage options, entertainment, and staffing

Sales & Revenue Generation
*Meet or exceed monthly booking and revenue targets
*Create and deliver compelling proposals and event packages tailored to client needs
*Negotiate pricing and contracts within company guidelines

On-Site Event Support
*Be present during key events to ensure execution aligns with client expectations
*Address and resolve issues in real-time, maintaining a positive guest experience

Marketing Collaboration
*Work with the marketing team (if applicable) to promote private event offerings through social media, digital platforms, and community outreach

Qualifications:

*Proven experience in event planning, sales, or hospitality (13 years preferred)
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills
*Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
*Experience with CRM tools or event management software is a plus
*Must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed
