Experienced Food Prep/Cook

Cardinal Staffing is hiring an Experienced Food Prep/Cook for a healthcare facility in Port Clinton, OH. This position is responsible for preparing meals, cooking menu items, maintaining food safety standards, and providing excellent service to patients and guests.
Pay: $15.00/hour
Shift: Varies Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients and cook meals following standardized recipes
• Operate grill, deli, and food prep stations
• Prepare soups, salads, desserts, sides, and entrée items
• Take food orders and provide friendly customer service
• Monitor food quality, temperatures, and food safety practices
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work areas, and dishes
• Assist with inventory, stock rotation, and storage organization

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months of food service or cooking experience
• Basic knife skills and commercial kitchen experience
• Ability to follow recipes and measure ingredients accurately
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

Preferred:

• High school diploma or GED
• Hospital, cafeteria, or institutional food service experience
• ServSafe Certification

Additional Requirements:

• Must pass pre-employment drug screening (including nicotine), background check, and physical examination
