Job DetailsDescription of Position:
Bartenders are responsible for the facilitation of handling guests' needs during their dining experience. As a barback Your passion for hospitality and desire to expand your menu and beverage knowledge allows you to achieve and provide a professional and efficient experience for guests. Each bartender is responsible for following the standard operating procedures of systems and protocols as prescribed by Craigs. At Craigs we have a loyal clientele that, on occasion, may require more curated and personalized experiences that fall outside of the typical scope of formalized processes of service. It is essential that the hospitality staff are in direct communication with their management team following all service and maintenance related to the table in regards to their specialized needs.
Duties
- Promptly arrive for each shift at the scheduled time
- Required to be in full designated uniform clocked in
- Attend pre-service meetings
- Adhere to accurate recording of hours worked weekly
- Complete menu knowledge of all menus including ingredients, applicable allergies, allergy modifications, preparations and acceptable substitutions if applicable.
- Thorough beverage knowledge of wine & cocktail program including spirits available, wines by-the-glass, wines by-the-bottle, pricing, and flavor profile
- Accurately build cocktails and serve in proper glassware
- Memorization of seat numbers
- Proficiency in item locations and POS functions
- Keep bar area cleaned and stocked throughout service
- Provide an efficient and seamless service by following all designated standard of operating procedures and protocols as prescribed
- Adhere to all company policies related to the position outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Serve alcohol to guests according to the guidelines of safe serving in the mandatory ABC exam
- Perform for opening & closing side-work
- Complete nightly check outs as prescribed and aligned with closing procedures
- Execute consistent services by greeting guests in a friendly & professional manner, anticipating guests needs, providing table maintenance, providing recommendations and making notes of guests preferences
- Accurately enter orders into POS collecting payments and returning the correct amount of change when necessary
- Ensure station and duties are covered when absent from designated work station
- Attend staff meetings when scheduled
- Perform checkout procedures in accordance with SOPs
Compensation: Hourly ($20.25) plus tips
