Job Details Obelix is hiring for a baker position. Solely in charge of all croissant production for brunch service and producing all in-house breads. Lots of creative freedom, creating a new croissant menu every few weeks. Tons of opportunity and growth in both the bread production and menu development.

Obelix, located in River North, provides a French bistro experience through the lens of two French-American brothers who grew up in Chicago. Obelix has been named a finalist for Best New Restaurant by the James Beard Foundation. It received top honors upon opening from Chicago Magazine for Best New Restaurant in 2022.

Our menu is rooted in classical french technique, while paying homage to the global flavors that inspire us as a team. The ideal candidate for this role is intrinsically motivated, disciplined, organized, and passionate about hospitality. Experience in a fast paced, medium-high volume restaurant is preferred but a candidate with the right attitude and motivation would be considered.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($19.00 - $21.00)
