We are seeking a friendly and organized experienced assistant manager or host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and efficient seating arrangements. The assistant manager or host will play a crucial role in creating an enjoyable dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated.
- Manage the seating chart and assign tables based on guest preferences and availability (OPENTABLE: strong experience)
- Maintain an organized waiting list during busy periods, communicating wait times clearly to guests.
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions.
- Collaborate with servers , chef, kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
- Support the team in achieving sales goals by promoting menu items and specials.
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Skills in wireless sales or retail sales are a plus, as they contribute to effective guest interactions.
- Basic math skills for handling reservations or managing waitlists are beneficial.
- Strong time management abilities to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Familiarity with budgeting or market trends can enhance the overall guest experience.
