Custodian I - Part-Time in Culinary Services

Culinary Services Division (CSD), a division of Auxiliary Services, provides meals and specialty beverages for over 18,000 customers daily and is an integral part of campus life and the overall college experience. CSD proudly provides Montana State University students with not only a repertoire of various cuisines, cooking styles, and flavors, but a comfortable atmosphere to meet friends, study, and simply relax. The division is comprised of 2 residential dining halls, a commissary kitchen, several retail operations including 4 coffee shops, Chick-fil-A, the Union Market and Bobcat Grill, Brick Breeden Fieldhouse and Bobcat Stadium Concessions, Fork in the Road food truck, MSU Catering, Indulge In-House Bakery, and the Farm to Campus Program.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesCustodians provide cleaning and light maintenance services in and around food service areas. The primary emphasis is on cleaning the public areas which include restrooms, carpeted and hard-surface floor care, kitchens, trash removal, furniture set-ups and other related duties. Custodians may work individually or on a team. This position is asked to interact in a positive manner with all guests to accomplish the department mission.Clean and sanitize all public and common areas. To include: restrooms, service areas, stairwells, etc.Carpeted and hard-surface floor careTrash removalSet up and tear down of areas such as conference spaces/seating spaces/public spaces dependent on facilityMove and straighten furniture, light food service equipment, dishes, glasses etcMay shovel snow at entry waysOther related custodial dutiesActively participates as part of the team while performing other duties in support of the department's mission.

This is a part-time position. Required Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

Experience working in custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, etc.Experience working effectively with minimal or no supervision.

Preferred Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

Experience providing excellent customer service.Certifications, classes completed, or knowledge of safety procedures utilized in a custodial, janitorial or housekeeping position.
