Were looking for a passionate, hands-on Restaurant Manager / Bar Manager to lead with excellence and inspire the team in both service and beverage execution.
Job Summary
The Restaurant/Bar Manager is a dynamic leader who will oversee nightly operations, manage the front-of-house team, maintain service excellence, and ensure smooth execution of both restaurant and bar programs. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, thrives in a high-volume upscale setting, and knows how to create an unforgettable guest experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesRestaurant Operations
- Lead daily FOH operations with an eye for detail, service flow, and hospitality standards
- Ensure smooth coordination between service and kitchen teams
- Uphold One40s service philosophy and culture across every guest touchpoint
- Monitor floor coverage, shift pacing, table turns, and guest recovery when needed
Bar Management
- Oversee bar team scheduling, training, and performance
- Maintain proper inventory and ordering of spirits, wines, beers, and bar supplies
- Collaborate with management & ownership on cocktail menu execution
- Ensure all bar operations meet health, cleanliness, and compliance standards
Team Leadership
- Train, coach, and mentor servers, bartenders, runners, and hosts
- Lead pre-shift meetings and regular service training
- Foster a positive, professional, and accountable team culture
- Assist in recruitment and onboarding of new FOH and bar staff
Administrative
- Handle POS programming, scheduling, and tip reporting
- Monitor labor and beverage cost control, report variances
- Collaborate with GM and ownership on service standards, staffing levels, and performance metrics
- Support event execution and private dining as needed
Requirements
- 35 years experience in a similar role within an upscale, high-volume restaurant or rooftop bar
- Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, wine service, and food pairings
- Proven ability to lead teams with clarity, empathy, and discipline
- Experience with scheduling, inventory, and ordering systems (Toast, Bevager, etc.)
- Must be NYC DOH certified (Food Protection)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to work late nights, weekends, and holidays as required

Compensation: Salary ($70,000.00 - $85,000.00)
