As the face of the restaurant, the Host must meet and greet guests in a warm friendly manner, making them feel comfortable and welcome in our dining room. You are to facilitate prompt and accurate seating and service to all guests, keep a friendly and energetic environment, and help servers in assuring quality guest service. You must be organized and able to prioritize. You should maintain control and composure and smile when pressure arises. You must have the ability to multitask and remain focused and alert. You should always take pride in your personal appearance and show dedication to your job.
DUTIES
- Greet guests and patrons personally and on the telephone.
- Offer appropriate seating arrangements.
- Present menus (including specials if applicable)
- Ensure the quantity of menus is sufficient to cater to the number of guests.
- Set up reservation arrangements on the floor plan.
- Help to maintain a clean and organized desk.
- Must be able to multitask.
- Help manage event related work, especially larger parties, or promotional events.
- Remain professional in a calm and pleasant manner with every guest.
- Must come to work in professional and clean attire.
- Always thank the guests when they are leaving in the same manner as when they came in.
- Hosts are expected to stay on until released by a manager.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work long hours, perform light work.
- Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels.
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body and arms,
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for lengthy periods of time without leaning.
- Must possess excellent communication skills; fluency in English is required.
Compensation: Hourly ($17.00)
