Step behind the bar at Chez Josephine , a beloved escape into the charm and glamour of old Paris. Since 1986, weve been a treasured Theater District destination, known for our French-American cuisine, nightly live piano, and the warm, spirited hospitality inspired by the legendary Josephine Baker.
Were seeking experienced bartenders who love creating memorable moments, one drink at a time. If you have a heart for hospitality and a hand for classic cocktails, we want to meet you.
Who You Are:2+ years of bartending experience in a fast-paced, upscale NYC restaurant or bar
A gracious host and skilled multitasker, who thrives under pressure
Comfortable with classic cocktails, wine, and guest interaction
Organized, quick, and attentive to every detail
Familiar with POS systems (Toast is a plus) and cash handling procedures
Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods
Bonus if you speak French but personality and professionalism come first
Welcome guests warmly and take pride in every drink you serve
Prepare cocktails, wine, and beverages with accuracy and consistency
Uphold all alcohol service and safety standards
Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing bar
Support servers and collaborate with the front-of-house team
Process payments and follow daily cash-out procedures
Follow Department of Health and in-house sanitation standards
