SAGE Dining Services is seeking a skilled and dependable Cook to join our team at a private school in Claymont, DE. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience and be confident in their ability to create soups and sauces from scratch, manage inventory, and execute recipes with accuracy and efficiency. You should have excellent knife skills, a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining a clean and organized work area. Familiarity with ingredients and their uses, close attention to detail, and a solid grasp of what's being prepared are all essential.
We're looking for someone who is a team player with a positive attitude and strong time management skills. This is a great opportunity for a cook who takes pride in their craft and enjoys working in a supportive, collaborative environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and the school is easily accessible-right off the bus route, a short walk from the train, and just two minutes from the highway.
