SPECIFIC DUTIES
• Performs work related to maintenance, repair, cleaning, custodial, and operational activities.
• Assists in conducting regular reviews and inspections of facilities, grounds, and equipment according to defined checklists; may complete and file reports indicating the status and completion of work. May participate in insurance inspections and help to prepare summaries and
recommendations following such inspections.
• Uses initiative to identify and solve problems to maintain the entire campus. Coordinates with various members of the parish staff to schedule activities and provide a balance between the needs of the school, rectory, and Church.
• Helps maintain lists of contractors and vendors who perform maintenance, repair, construction, and cleaning. Helps coordinate with these organizations to schedule work and assists with contract administration, including monitoring performance and approving costs.
• Helps to maintain an inventory of materials and equipment needed to perform maintenance and repair and ensure the efficient operation of the campus facilities and equipment.
• Will be available on an "on call" basis to respond to emergencies and work extended hours when needed.

This position is responsible for performing all routine and special maintenance and repair activities to ensure the overall cleanliness and appearance of furnishings, grounds, and buildings, as well as the efficient operation of equipment on the entire campus of Little Flower Parish.

• Routine activities are those needed to maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and operation of all facilities as defined on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

• Special activities are those assigned on an as-needed basis or which occur through emergencies.

• Maintenance activities include assigned cleaning, repair, custodial, and maintenance duties. This position is responsible for ensuring that buildings and grounds are clean, hazard-free, and in good working order at all times. To achieve this, defined lists of maintenance and repair activities have been developed, along with timelines for performing these tasks.

• These lists are used as checklists to report completed work and describe repairs or maintenance to be performed. Regular inspections of all equipment, furnishings, buildings, and grounds are conducted to ensure a safe and well-maintained campus.

• This position is also responsible for performing duties to ensure the smooth operation of functions throughout the entire campus, including trash removal, moving of furniture, materials, and equipment, inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment, and coordination with various members of the administrative staff.

• Coordinate work and work with contractors who perform maintenance and repairs in areas such as landscaping, plumbing, tree removal, interior building cleaning, painting, roofing, snow removal, electrical, and light construction, and maintain a working relationship with them to ensure that work is performed as needed and in accordance with existing contractual agreements. Verify that work is performed in an
acceptable manner according to contracts.

• Help to maintain an inventory of materials and equipment needed to perform maintenance and repair activities. The inventory should include cleaning supplies, paper products, tools, light bulbs, batteries, candles, and other items needed for routine maintenance and operating activities.
