The Receptionist plays a critical role in delivering professional, responsive service to both Nelson Laboratories clients and internal staff. As the first point of contact, this position is responsible for providing a professional and welcoming first impression to all visitors. The role also includes a variety of administrative tasks to support office operations.
Education and experience requirements:
- Greet all clientele, interviewees, auditors, and other visitors at the front desk
- Issue and manage temporary badges for guests and employees
- Confirm, log, and track all visitors from food/sample deliveries to executive-level clientele; VIPs, Auditors, Regulatory Personnel
- Receive and facilitate incoming sample deliveries and promptly notify Lab Personnel
- Provide backup phone coverage for the Customer Service Center
- Assist clients with navigating and using the Nelson Labs secure customer portal
Job requirements:
- Fully onsite presence required
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
Physical requirements:
Must be able to stand 1% of the day and 99% sitting at a desk and using the computer. Heavy lifting is not required in this position.
