Are you a highly organized and customer-focused individual with a strong commitment to security? A leading company is seeking a dedicated Receptionist to manage incoming calls and control access at their Port of Miami Terminal. This role offers long-term employment with opportunities for growth.

This role is responsible for courteously and efficiently answering and directing all incoming phone calls. Additionally, this position controls access for employees and visitors to the terminal. The individual will support the Human Resources department with various clerical duties, performing routine tasks in accordance with established procedures. Benefits:

Responsibilities

  • Manages phones, routing calls efficiently and courteously.
  • Greets and registers on-site visitors, issuing passes and announcing arrivals.
  • Ensures security by requesting proper identification from employees and visitors. Registers employee TWIC IDs and grants terminal access.
  • Monitors employee credential expirations and assists with renewals (e.g., Port ID letters, TWIC ID reimbursement).
  • Receives and distributes incoming packages.
  • Maintains conference and training room calendars.
  • Coordinates Port of Miami terminal tours, including lunch/refreshments.
  • Maintains office amenities (coffee machine, refrigerators).
  • Manages office supply inventory, ordering, receiving, and disbursing items.
  • Prepares monthly reports for Caribbean Ship Associations.
  • Assists with company communications (newsletters, memos, flyers).
  • Notifies HR promptly of disruptive visitors or phone/computer system issues.
  • Provides clerical support to other departments as needed.
  • Performs additional assigned duties.
