Overview

The Custodian position focuses primarily on maintaining a sanitary, clean, tidy, and comfortable environment at Zoot-owned properties with integrity and an attention to detail. This position could be located at our offices in Bozeman or Billings or at other Zoot-owned properties in Billings.

The Facilities Group focuses on maintaining Zoot's physical property.

Essential Job Functions

  • Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, kitchenettes, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, gym, and other work areas at Zoot-owned properties.
  • Wash tables and surfaces in rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, kitchenettes, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, other work areas, and coffee bar.
  • Sweep, scrub, and polish floor and lobby staircase.
  • Clean rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture.
  • Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, trim, metalwork, and stainless surfaces (i.e. drinking fountains, door handles, light switches, elevators, etc.)
  • Dust and polish furniture, window sills, wood work, and cubicle surfaces.
  • Wash walls, restroom stalls, and locker room and restroom floors.
  • Wash windows, glass doors, door panels, and sills.
  • Empty wastebaskets and empty and clean ashtrays.
  • Transport trash and waste to disposal area.
  • Replenish restroom paper supplies and kitchenette paper towels in proper receptacles.
  • Wash, dry, and fold laundry used by custodial and kitchen staff.
  • Maintain accurate reporting of low inventory to ensure supplies remain in stock at appropriate levels.
  • Compliance with and knowledge of Zoot's Policies and Procedures, Code of Business Conduct, and Employee Agreement.
  • Achieve a service-focused culture with emphasis on delivering on-time, high-quality products and services to internal and external customers.

Education, Training, and Experience Requirements

This position requires:

High School Diploma

Years of Experience Previous related work experience preferred.

License For Billings location - Must hold or be able to obtain a valid driver's license.

Or, an equal combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements

  • All positions at Zoot require the ability to move about inside an office environment which includes the operation of computers and other office productivity machinery and frequently communicates with other employees, clients, vendors, and visitors.
  • This position specifically requires long periods of activity including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing stairs all day.
  • This position will be required to lift up to 50lbs.

Working Conditions

  • This position will take place primarily in an office setting.
  • The Custodian position requires flexibility, self-initiative, and regular management of changing priorities.

Work Hours and Location

  • It is expected that exempt employees, and specifically this position, regularly and consistently report to work on-site, at Zoot Billings.
  • This position may require local travel between Zoot-owned properties up to 10% of the time.
  • Custodian positions can be shift work and business needs may require Custodians to perform work outside of their normally scheduled hours.
