The City of Wylie is now seeking experienced custodial staff to join our team! The selected applicants will perform a full range of custodial and building services duties related to the care, maintenance, and cleaning of assigned buildings and facilities.
SUPERVISION
Supervision is provided by the Facilities Manager.
- Clean and disinfect office areas, public meeting areas and restroom facilities including fixtures, sinks, urinals and toilets; and replenish supplies in restrooms.
- Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors; vacuum and clean carpets.
- Dust and polish furniture, woodwork, and fixtures.
- Wash windows, mirrors, and door glass.
- Clean tables and countertops.
- Empty, clean, and disinfect waste receptacles.
- Remove waste and recyclables from buildings and transport to designated collection areas.
- Identify and report maintenance needs to the supervisor.
- Provide the supervisor with a list of supplies and materials needed.
- Performs as a responsible steward of the public trust and strives for excellence in public service, enhancing the quality of life for all.
- Acts in a civil, respectful manner at all times to management, co-workers and others.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance. Preferred a minimum of 6 months custodial experience.
Moderate: Exerting 20-50 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs. frequently, or up to 10 lbs. constantly.
