Medical Receptionist – Specialty Optometry Practice Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL Pay Rate: $18–$21 per hour Schedule: Monday–Friday | Full-Time

A well-established specialty optometry practice in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a professional and personable Medical Receptionist to join our front office team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing outstanding patient care in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a medical or optometry office is preferred

  • Familiarity with optometry software such as Eyefinity, OfficeMate, or RevolutionEHR is a plus

  • Knowledge of insurance verification and basic healthcare administrative procedures

  • strong communication and customer service skills

  • Tech-savvy with the ability to learn and navigate EHR and scheduling systems

  • bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required

  • Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and manage front desk communications

  • Handle copay and payment processing, and assist with basic billing questions

  • Maintain a clean, organized reception area and support daily front office operations

  • Coordinate with optometrists and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
