Description
POSITION PURPOSE
Provide supervision, coaching, counseling and training to room attendants and house attendants. Work with Room Attendants to educate them on the ABC's of Housekeeping to ensure consistency. Ensure the prompt return of clean rooms to reception for resale to incoming guests. Inspect guest rooms and public areas for compliance with established cleanliness, maintenance and set-up standards. Ensure the highest level of cleanliness and conditions of the hotel guest rooms to ensure guest satisfaction. Quality will be measured via Management Room Inspections, Guest Satisfaction Surveys (Cleanliness of Guest Rooms) and bi-annual Quality Assurance Audit - LRA.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Inspect the cleaning of the guest rooms, turndown service; SOPs and health/sanitation standards and regulations to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
- Work with Room Attendants to ensure daily calendar tasks are completed.
- In the event that rooms do not meet quality standards room attendant should be sent back to correct any issues and room will not be released until it meets standards of cleanliness and brand requirements.
- Ensuring Guest Requests and Special Comments are met
- Inspect Maids carts and closets to insure that they are properly stocked.
- Ensure VIP'S and spg members rooms are ready and inspected by 1pm
- Ensure Daily show rooms are ready by noon
- Performed daily audits to ensured Sheraton quality standards are consistently met

- Work with houseman to maintain cleanliness of glass doors and windows through the assigned building
- Ensure cleanliness of all trash chute rooms by delegating daily assigned work to houseman
- Maintain cleanliness of Vending /Ice room
- Maintain cleanliness of hallways of Hotel and stairwells (Vacuum/carpet exaction)
- Maintain cleanliness of all hallway lamps, i.e., sconces and ceiling lamp
- Maintain cleanliness of elevators
- Maintain cleanliness of hallway telephone and furnish with supply
- Support Room Attendant by cleaning and stripping guest rooms as needed
- Communicate with the Front Office Supervisor of "hung" rooms
- Fill out work order tickets as needed and ensuring unacceptable rooms are not released back to inventory until items are addressed
- Ensure lines of communication are open with the Housemen
5% Perform Guest Request throughout day -ensuring open tickets and guest requests are completed/closed.
5% Ensure work area is clean when finished
5% Responsible for being knowledgeable about hotel groups and events and modifying room amenities/supplies as necessary.
5% Maintain at all times a neat and clean professional appearance

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Westin/Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotel's facilities. Employees who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel:
- Enforce hotel safety standards.
- Perform other duties and handle projects as assigned by Manager.
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
- Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests.

- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
