Head Custodian, West Charlotte, HS, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm
Actively supervises other custodial personnel at assigned location and performs custodial and light-maintenance duties to maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment conducive to the educational process.
Assists the Area Leader in the preparation of work schedules.
Verifies daily attendance and submits payroll corrections to Area Leader.
Evaluates the daily activities of custodial staff.
Completes quality assurance inspections reports and submits to Area Leader.
Prepares documentation on custodial operations.
Records any personnel related issues in key incident journals.
Trains new staff on the use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and related supplies and materials.
Receives and verifies orders.
Coordinates activities with other departments to ensure service is provided efficiently.
Inspect work performed to ensure that it meets expectations and established standards.
Investigate complaints about service and equipment. Take necessary corrective action.
Performs routine repairs on equipment.
Inspects and evaluates the physical condition of facilities to determine the type of work required.
Performs duties of a custodian as needed.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Education
MINIMUM
Completion of formal or informal education at a level, which provides the ability to read and write at a level required by the job.
DESIRABLE
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience/Training
MINIMUM
3 years custodial experience
DESIRABLE
3 years custodial experience including supervisory responsibilities
