Chef Akhtar Nawab and team, owners of Alta Calidad, a Michelin Bib Gourmand Awardee located in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, is looking for a line cooks for our new, dinner only, New American restaurant: Wayward Fare. Inspired by great Mediterranean flavors and a live fire wood burning oven, it is right next door in Prospect Heights. We are in search of hardworking and dedicated professionals looking to gain knowledge and experience in an elevated and team oriented setting. We believe in leading by example, finding grandness in the small details, and that putting work into the team is the best way to put work into the restaurant.

Were looking for enthusiastic cooks with a general understanding of knife skills and classical cooking techniques. A successful candidate will have experience in an organized, fast-paced, and high-performing kitchen. We seek those who can follow instruction, work cleanly and efficiently, and can communicate clearly and concisely.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years hot line experience
• Qualifying Certificate in Food Protection
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours
• Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation: Hourly ($22.00 - $24.00)
