San Marino Cafe and Marketplace is raising the bar in the fast casual industry. Here is an opportunity to work with great people on a great team. We are an independently owned, busy neighborhood cafe, looking for additional FOH team members. Barista experience is preferred, but if you don't have it, we will train you.

We need a dependable person who is an early riser and very organized. Shifts currently start at either 7 am, 8 am and/or 10am. Weekend availability is a must but we are flexable with schedules and everyone can rotate.

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and attentive service to all guests throughout the entirety of their visit
  • Anticipate guest needs and note any preferences provided by the guest
  • Maintain full knowledge of beverage, pastry, kitchen and retail items
  • Handle any guest situations with genuine empathy and elevate to a manager as necessary
  • Complete all opening, mid, and closing procedures; complete daily checklist and side work assignments
  • Organize money and receipts in adherence with the SMC cash handling policy
  • Keep all areas of the restaurant clean and organized
  • Assist with supply orders, stocking and communicating what is needed

Qualifications

  • 6-12 months of related restaurant experience
  • Cleaning and Organizational Skills
  • Friendly and Attentive
  • Experience with POS Systems
  • Flexibility in schedule is highly preferred
  • Ability to be crosstrained in all areas of the cafe

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($17.50 - $20.00) plus tips
