SUMMARY
We are a boat manufacturer in Vonore, TN, seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance in a large manufacturing facility. Maintenance tasks performed are in a variety of skilled areas (Welding, machinery troubleshooting, repair, electrical troubleshooting, HVAC).
Responsibilities could include troubleshooting and repairing air, resin and gel equipment.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Support the welding shop schedule and repairs.
- Apply high energy, self-motivation and initiative to learn and be trained on various types of equipment and maintenance techniques.
- Ability to troubleshoot, rebuild and repair production related equipment.
- Daily job duties will be varied and dynamic, requiring high levels of customer service.
- Workload will be tracked via daily schedules and assignments requiring responsibility and accountability for quality and timeliness of completion.
- Work hours: Typically, four (4) days per week at 10 hours per day, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday thru Thursday. Work schedule adjusted as demands require.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Welding experience is a must.
- Typically requires high school diploma or equivalent GED
- Three five (3-5) years commercial or industrial facility maintenance experience to include machinery repair and electrical troubleshooting as a plus.
- Experience a plus for CNC equipment
- Strong mechanical and electrical background and experience. Additional experience in electrical motor controls and programming a strong plus.
- Experience reading blueprints and schematics and building to specifications.
- Will be required to be certified in forklift and high lift (genie boom) operations
- Requires high foot travel and working throughout the facility. Lifting overhead within prescribed safety limitations. Working at heights: ladders; rooftops; booms & lifts; work platforms; etc. Working in various manufacturing work environments, and working outside through all possible weather conditions.
- Requires ability to use a wide variety of hand tools, powered and manual.
- Ability to read measurement devices, including OHM/voltage meters, measuring tapes, calipers, various equipment gauges as required.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
- Must possess the desire and ambition to work safely at all times and report all hazards to their Supervisor/Manager immediately
- Must understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated, including but not limited to: safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.
- Must be able to understand and complete the OSHA questionnaire, pass spirometer test and physically wear a respirator where required
- Must be able to physically perform the requirements of the job, including lifting, bending, climbing stairs, standing, etc. with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to understand all safety related document and worksite rules and practices, equipment operating instructions, documented safety management systems, and health and safety requirements, including the General Safety Rules and Individual Safety Commitment.
Working Conditions :
- Maintain cleanliness, ensure safety compliance to include PPE adherence, safety policy adherence, and safe behaviors and conditions. Must possess the desire and ambition to always work safely and report all hazards to their supervisor immediately.

- The pay range for this position is $22.40 to $24.00 hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus or short-term incentive program . This position is also eligible for an award target as part of Brunswicks long-term incentive program.
