Job Details Nine Restaurant Group was founded by a team of local investors. Their first venture, Nine, is a modern fine dining restaurant showcasing French cuisine with strong European influences. Located in historic Beacon Hill, Nine pays homage to tradition while embracing contemporary culinary innovation.Nine is seeking passionate, motivated, professional Prep Cooks who are eager to learn and contribute ideas. We are searching for a team who can work in a fast-paced environment, are talented in multiple areas, can learn quickly, take on a large amount of responsibility, and ensure our cuisine is prepared to the standard.
This is a fantastic opportunity for any individual to be part of an ambitious group both within this restaurant and the expansion plans for the future.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare and handle all produce, meat, seafood, and poultry
- Complete daily preparation tasks as listed on the nightly prep sheets
- Unload deliveries, stock, and rotate inventory
- Ensure food prep and storage areas meet health and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen spaces and manage leftovers properly
- Work with the kitchen team to cook menu items
- Follow instructions from kitchen leadership
- 1+ years of previous prep cooking experience in high-end restaurants
- Previous experience working with traditional French cuisine preferred but not required
- Full-time and flexible availability
- Must possess strong communication and organizational skills
- Good knife skills, plating techniques, and attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation
