Job DetailsMajor Food Group is hiring Prep Cooks to join our team at Parm Copley !
Since the original location of Parm opened in New York Citys Little Italy in 2011, the restaurants takes on Italian-American soul food have reached iconic status. From the prized Chicken Parm to the homemade meatballs to the Rigatoni Carbone, the menu is inspired by the cooking Michelin-Starred chefs Mario Carbone and Rich Torrisi ate growing up. The goal is to make the best versions of these recognizable dishes while remaining faithful to their historyand to serve them in a fun, familial environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report and follow executive or sous chefs instructions
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in high volume and fine dining restaurants preferred but not required
- Culinary diploma or equivalent in experience
- Team-orientated and positive attitude
- Strong communication skills a must
