Food Prep/Cashier

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Preparation Worker to join our culinary team. Position is for a Mexican fast casual restaurant. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of meals and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and a commitment to food safety standards, ensuring that all food is prepared in accordance with health regulations.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
Assist in meal preparation by following recipes and portioning food accurately.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
Adhere to food safety protocols to ensure the health and safety of all meals served.
Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
Participate in menu planning and catering events as needed.
Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages.

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or a related role is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is essential.
Experience in meal preparation, catering, or culinary arts is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary for maintaining kitchen standards.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
