Bartender Ontario Convention Center (SAVOR)

Position Summary:

  • The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while ensuring excellent guest service in accordance with SAVOR standards. This role requires a professional, courteous, and efficient individual who can maintain a clean and organized work area while delivering an exceptional experience for guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and guest requests.
  • Ensure proper portioning, garnishing, and presentation of all drinks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including counters, utensils, and equipment.
  • Check identification to verify legal drinking age.
  • Accurately process transactions and handle cash/credit card sales when applicable.
  • Restock bar supplies, including liquor, mixers, ice, and glassware.
  • Comply with all state and local alcohol service laws.
  • Provide excellent guest service by anticipating needs and resolving issues quickly.
  • Assist with event set-up and breakdown as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous bartending experience preferred, especially in a banquet, event, or hospitality setting.
  • Knowledge of standard drink recipes, bar equipment, and responsible alcohol service.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Uniform/Dress Code (Strictly Enforced):

  • Long-sleeve black collared button-up shirt.
  • Black dress slacks (no jeans, leggings, or casual pants).
  • Black non-slip dress shoes (no sneakers, sandals, or boots).
  • Black belt and black socks required.
  • Hair must be neat, clean, and pulled back away from the face.
  • Jewelry must be minimal and not interfere with duties (no large hoops, dangling earrings, or excessive accessories).
  • No visible tattoos or facial piercings; cover/remove if possible.
  • Uniform and appearance must be clean, pressed, and professional at all times.
  • We have lockers available for belongings, but staff must bring their own lock and use at their own risk
