JOB SUMMARY
As a Host, you are responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests. The host greets guests as they enter the restaurant, takes reservations, answers phone calls/ customer inquiries, gives menus and shows customers to their seats.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Job duties include, although are not limited to:

• Check messages and reservations for the day
• Ensure that the floor plan accommodates all reservations within an appropriate time span
• Deliver excellent customer service and engage with guests
• Knowledge and understanding of food and drink specials and menu offerings
• Set up and break down of service area for the shift
• Assist other on the team members
• Other duties as assigned

PAY TRANSPARENCY

The pay scale for this position is $18.00 per hour

The total compensation package is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience and education or training.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Commitment to delivering exceptional service
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to plan and organize
• California Food Handlers Certificate required

WORK ENVIRONMENT/ PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Our workplace is clean, lighted and ventilated with proper safety compliance. Noise levels are considered medium and daily physical activities are considered moderate. Employees must have the stamina to work long hours if assigned. Hours and days of work may vary by position. Most work tasks are performed indoors and outdoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks. Also, you must be physically able to walk without assistance on various surfaces for an extended period of time. This position requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing.

SCHEDULE

This position requires a flexible schedule with shifts that consist of a rotating schedule of weekday and weekends shifts, including day, night, and holiday work hours.
