53 introduces an elevated blend of Asian cuisine with a contemporary edge in a chic lifestyle setting. Featuring an exquisite marriage of Asian flavors and unique dishes, 53 is a New York restaurant conceived by the Founder Ahmass Fakahany and team behind NYC dining destinations including Marea and Ai Fiori.
The menu is spearheaded by acclaimed Singapore-born Chef Akmal Anuar, who began his culinary journey in his parents hawker stand in Singapore, led one of Pellegrino Worlds 50 Best Restaurants (Asias No. 1) and created some of the top contemporary Asian restaurants in Dubai.
Designed by ICRAVE in the heart of Midtown at 53 W 53rd St., the three-story space features a beautiful modern dining room, bustling by day and glowing by night, as well as an intimate private dining experience all underneath MoMAs new extended wing. In the spirit of this iconic location, the globally renowned Friedrich Petzel Gallery is collaborating in a curatorial partnership to showcase an exciting rotating installation art program throughout the restaurant.
We are looking for passionate & dedicated Servers to join the team. Be a part of this truly unique restaurant and work alongside hospitality pioneers, positive team members, engaging leadership in an inclusive, safe and nurturing environment.
Server Responsibilities include:
- Manage and assume full responsibility of each guests dining experience from start to finish, and multitask between assisting guests, bussing, running, wine service and anything needed to provide memorable and personalized service for our guests
- Describe and educate guests confidently on all elements of the menu (food and beverage) and restaurant
- Maintain clean dining room and restaurant and adhere to all health and safety standards
Server Requirements include:
- Ability to multi-task and perform in high-volume, high-intensity restaurant
- Demonstrate warm, friendly, high-energy personality with positive attitude and open-minded and team-oriented mindset
- Strong background in full-service dining and knowledge of service standards
- Highly organized, efficient, and meticulous with attention-to-detail on all operational matters
- Physical requirements include: ability to handle and carry trays, smallware, equipment, or other items up to 35lbs, and to stand, walk up and down stairs, and exert well-paced mobility for extended period of time
- Flexible schedule and open availability (full-time) to meet business needs

Compensation $16 per hour, plus tips, subject to a $5.35 tip credit if applicable
Compensation: Hourly ($16.50) plus tips
