Job Summary and Qualifications

The lead will be responsible as the main resource for questions related to the kitchen and food production in the absence of the Chef. This associate will also be responsible for working a station in the kitchen producing food for patients, the retail cafeteria, Meals on Wheels, and special functions. Keeping in mind that the quality and safety is the highest we can give and that the perceived value is equal. Also expected to maintain a professional level of attitude toward the patients, guest, and fellow associates in the facility.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

  • Food handler permit OR ServSafe Certificate required within 60 days of hire
  • Must be able to read recipe, follow recipe directions, read thermometers and compute measurements.
  • 3 years cooking in a healthcare facility, school, hotel catering or restaurant
  • Ability to operate slicer, oven, fryer, grill, etc
  • Read and follow production sheets
