Key Role
A Shift/Team Leader is one who consistently demonstrates our core values, embraces the Chick-fil-A culture and has a servant's heart. They have a passion for people and serving others, have strong character, take initiative and work with a sense of urgency at all times. Our Team Leaders are responsible for supporting senior leadership in executing daily operations and keeping team members accountable for each component of Operational Excellence and our Recipe for Service. A Team Leader's two main areas of focus are completing tasks so that the restaurant runs effectively, and coaching/developing team members. Team Leaders lead by example and set the tone that others will follow.
Key Responsibilities
- Coaches: CFA Standards & Culture
- Coaches brand standards (Pathway)
- Coaches food safety and quality standards (SAFE & eRQA's)
- Coaches positional excellence
- Coaches and oversees restaurant cleanliness and safety (Checklists)
- Coaches Team Members on training standards (Pathway)
- Creates: Game Plan & Area Environment
- Creates consistency in daily operations, i.e. positive atmosphere, unified organized
environment, and fast and friendly service
- Creates area action plan (Lineups)
- Creates communication clarity (GroupMe or similar communication method
- Consults area lineups for Drive-thru, FOH, and/or Kitchen
- Solves: Area Problems
- Assesses area's business results as required (Labor, Transaction Count, etc.)
- Assesses cash management flow and accountability (inFORM)
- Assesses POS data and results (Servicepoint)
- Solves operational hindrances to guest experience
- Leading their team to deliver a remarkable guest experience during their shifts
- Support other leaders
- Execution of huddles to ensure all team members are on the same page
- Encourage team members
- Proactively checking behind team members
- Completing daily and weekly checklists
- Leaving the restaurant better than how you found it
- Create emotional connections with guests
- Create a fun and cared for environment for team
- Encourage rule enforcement
- Coaching the behaviors of all Team Members on their shifts. Those behaviors are:

- Execution of systems that ensure a refreshingly clean environment

A Team Leader should:
- Work a minimum of 20 hours per week (Current shift available: 10:00 am-5:30 pm, 2:00 pm-8:00 pm, 3:00 pm-11:00 pm)
- Focus on coaching towards all related goals during their shifts
- Practice thinking like a Supervisor for ways they can improve
- Be positive

- Be professional and mature
Recommended Experience:
- ServSafe Food Handler of Food Manager Certification
- Familiar with restaurant environment, specifically Chick-fil-A
- Familiar with leading a team and delegating
