Position Title Groundskeeper (Seasonal/Casual Part-Time) 2 Positions (Staff) Division Facilities Management & Construction(DIV) Department Facilities & Grounds Job Description

This is a seasonal position responsible to perform a variety of duties related to routine grounds maintenance for all College facilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Operate power lawn machinery and tractors.
  • Weed, top dress, and water all flower beds.
  • Mow and water grass.
  • Trim shrubbery.
  • Remove debris from walkways and lawns.
  • Clean building entrances (i.e., empty trash, sweep, clean glass, etc.)
  • Complete work orders and return them to the appropriate location in the Facilities and Grounds Department.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Maintain a neat and orderly work environment.
  • Maintain up-to-date with professional credentials best practices and current disciplines including continued educational requirements through certifications, seminars, training programs, etc.
  • Maintain and develop work-related knowledge, skills, and competencies related to the job through professional and cross-training opportunities.
  • Attend all required meetings and training
  • Perform additional grade-level support duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior work performance must have met or exceeded appropriate work standards.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS

  • Valid driver's license.

CLEARANCES REQUIRED

The successful candidate will be required to obtain/provide the following clearances prior to hire:

  • PA Child History clearance
  • PA Criminal Record Check clearance
  • FBI Federal Criminal History Record
