APPLICANT INFORMATION

Successful applicants will be employed on a conditional basis pending completion of the background investigation and sexual misconduct release(s).

Applications are retained and considered active for one year following the first submission.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Cashmere is a stable agricultural community of approximately 3,070 citizens, nestled in the foothills of the eastern slopes of the Cascades. The climate offers four distinct seasons with warm dry summers, cool snowy winters, and 300 days of sunshine. The community is in the geographic center of the state of Washington, approximately ten miles from Wenatchee (with a population of approximately 28,000) and a 2-1/2 hour drive from either Seattle or Spokane. Although the economy is historically based on the apple and pear industry, several small manufacturing firms also support the local area. The region is also an incubator for numerous cottage industries that add to the flavor of the community. Situated near the Columbia River, Lake Chelan, Lake Wenatchee, and Mission Ridge, Cashmere offers a wide variety of outdoor recreation - fishing, hiking, rock climbing, water and snow skiing, rafting/kayaking, and paragliding. Shopping, cultural interests, and professional services are available in Cashmere and the local area.
