The Public Housing Authority of Butte is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic team. This full-time role is crucial in ensuring that our housing properties are well-maintained and comfortable for our residents. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be tasked with a variety of maintenance activities, including performing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
Your responsibilities will also extend to the rehabilitation of apartments that have been vacated, ensuring they are ready for new occupants. We are looking for individuals with a strong background in plumbing, electrical work, mechanical systems, carpentry, painting, and groundskeeping. The ideal candidate will not only have practical skills but also a problem-solving attitude to tackle various maintenance challenges.
It's important to note that this position requires a low-pressure boiler's license. The selected candidate will be given time to obtain the low-pressure boiler's licencse. Additionally, the Maintenance Mechanic will be part of the Laborers' Union, which provides comprehensive full-time union benefits. This role also includes being on-call for emergency work orders during evenings and weekends every sixth week, ensuring that our facilities remain safe and functional at all times.
