the girl & the fig in Sonoma is currently seeking an experienced Server to join our team.

We are a restaurant group with multiple locations in the Sonoma Valley, which includes the girl & the fig in Sonoma, the girl & the fig CATERS!, Suite D, and our FIGfood product line. Our Servers provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests.

The Perfect Candidate is...

Professional

Knowledgeable about food and wine

Able to provide friendly and responsible service to our guests

Able to guide guests through our menu to create an exceptional dining experience

A Typical Day Includes

Weing guests

Giving detailed explanations to the guest of additions or changes to the menu

Making rmendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy

Answering questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services

Taking food and beverage orders from guests and entering orders in our POS system

Assisting in delivering food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter

Performing side work at the start and end of each shift as required

Maintaining clean service areas

Monitoring guests dining experience

Ensuring guests are satisfied with the food and service

Responding promptly and courteously to any requests

Preparing final bill, presenting check to guest, accepting payment, processing credit card charges

Assisting fellow servers as situations arise

Assisting bus person with clearing and resetting tables

Thanking guests for their visit and invite them to return

This Job Requires

Ability to provide orplete CA Food Handler Certification and renew as necessary

Ability to provide orpleted RBS Certification and renew as necessary

General restaurant knowledge and applicable experience as a Server in a fine dining environment

Physical Demands...

Must be able to lift 40 pounds.

Be able to lift, reach, bend and stoop.

Requires standing more than 90% of time during work shift.
