Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

The maintenance engineering group will work on initiatives to ensure equipment on lines are running efficiently, as well as laying out programs for maintenance PMs/Schedules and projects. The team has close ties to both Mechanical and Electrical maintenance members and will assist on issues that are escalated to an engineering level. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment in assigned areas runs effectively and efficiently. It may require the design of equipment tooling such as jigs and fixtures as needed. The Maintenance Engineer will write manufacturing and work instructions and manage projects on the line for upgrades and work with outside contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure equipment on lines is running efficiently.
  • Lay out programs for maintenance PMs/Schedules and projects.
  • Assist Mechanical and Electrical maintenance members on escalated issues.
  • Ensure equipment in assigned areas runs effectively and efficiently.
  • Design equipment tooling such as jigs and fixtures as needed.
  • Write manufacturing and work instructions.
  • Manage projects on the line for upgrades.
  • Work with outside contractors.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience working in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of robots, PLCs, or hydraulic/pneumatics.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing.
  • Electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with Fanuc robots and PLCs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of industrial maintenance.
  • Experience with Mitsubishi PLCs.
  • Experience with metals manufacturing (e.g., stamping, roll forming, welding).
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $46.00/hr.
